Research Interests and Current Projects

I am interested in exploring the molecular ecology and adaptive mechanisms of marine microbial eukaryotes in the North Pacific Ocean, which play a pivotal role in global biogeochemical cycles. By employing deep-sequenced metatranscriptomes and new approaches to understanding them, I aim to unravel the complex survival strategies these microorganisms utilize in response to changing environmental conditions.
